Combining state-of-the-art technology, highest quality materials, and five generations of knitwear experience, Balmoral Knitwear provides the fastest and most reliable service for smart school clothing.
We continually invest in new machinery, technology and yarns. This year we are excited by the addition of Fully Fashioned Cotton/Acrylic knitwear to our existing range of Acrylic, Wool/Acrylic and Wool/Nylon yarns.
Our manufacturing base remains in our factory in Scotland but we have also carefully selected ethically sound offshore partners in Eastern Europe for certain styles and larger quantities. Only those adhering to Balmoral Knitwear’s own extremely high standards are used.
Stock styles for schoolwear at Balmoral Knitwear
Plain garments:
No minimum, usually same day despatch
Embroidered garments:
Minimum 6, usually 10-14 days to despatch
Bespoke Styles
With unique access to a colour library of over 3,500 shades, Balmoral Knitwear are best placed to supply striped and special colour pullovers and cardigans. These can be made in a range of fabric weights and in yarns selected from the best European spinners. We also make matching scarves and hats.

- Minimum 24 in stock yarn shades, including minimum 6 per size
- Usually 4-5 weeks lead-time
